Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

Board of Elections Hosts "I Voted" Sticker Design Contest

The Union County Board of Elections is excited to announce the return of the “I Voted” sticker design contest. Students may participate by creating an original design for the stickers that will be given out to voters during the November 5, 2024, General Election. 

“This is a fun and creative way for students to be involved in the election process and learn about the importance of voting at an early age,” said Kristin Jacumin, Director of the Board of Elections.

Election Officials Needed For General Election

The Union County Board of Elections is seeking election officials to work during early voting and the November 5 general election.  

Early voting begins Thursday, October 17 and ends Saturday, November 2. Early voting workers are paid an hourly rate for attending training and working during early voting.

Soil and Water Candidate Filing

Wednesday, June 05, 2024

Candidate filing for Union County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor (1seat) begins at noon on Monday, June 10, 2024 and ends at noon on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Union County Board of Elections located at 316-B East Windsor Street in Monroe.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old, a registered voter in Union County, and pay a $5 filing fee. Filing fees must be paid by credit or debit card.

This seat is nonpartisan, so no primary is required. The election will be held during the regular November 5, 2024 General Election.

Early Voting for Second Primary Election Begins April 25

Early voting for the May 14, 2024, second primary election begins on Thursday, April 25 and ends on Saturday, May 11 at the Main Branch of the Union County Public Library Griffin Room at 316 E. Windsor Street in Monroe.

Temporary Transfer Voters

WHEREAS, upon a resolution adopted by the county board of elections and approved by the Executive Director of the State Board, voters from a given precinct may be temporarily transferred, for the purpose of voting, to an adjacent precinct.
