The North Carolina State Board of Elections made an FAQ resource for candidates who filed between December 6th and December 8th as well as people who want to file for candidacy when filing is open again. The FAQ covers candidate filing and campaign finance reports.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Union County Board of Elections regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 14, 2021 has been cancelled. The Board will meet for their next regular meeting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11 at the Board of Elections office located at 316-B East Windsor Street in Monroe. The North Carolina Supreme Court on Wednesday, December 8 suspended candidate filing for all offices for the 2022 primary election. The Supreme Court also pushed the date of the primary and rescheduled municipal elections to Tuesday, May 17, 2022. It had been scheduled for March 8.
