Whereas, North Carolina General Statute 163-128 states that upon a resolution adopted by the county board of elections and approved by the Executive Director of the State Board, voters from a given precinct may be temporarily transferred, for the purpose of voting, to an adjacent precinct.
Whereas, the board is required to give 45 days’ notice of the transfer prior to the next election by advertisement in a newspaper having general circulation in the county; posting a copy of the resolution at the courthouse and at the county board of elections office; and mailing a copy of the resolution to the chairman of every political party in the county. And, no later than 30 days prior to the election, the county board of elections shall mail a notice of precinct change to each registered voter who as a result of the change will be assigned to a different voting place.
Now, therefore be it resolved, the Union County Board of Elections adopts a resolution for the following temporary transfer of voters during the November 3, 2026 General Election only:
Those voters residing within Precinct #021 Jackson VFD shall vote at Precinct #022 Hermon Baptist Church, 9713 Lancaster Hwy, Waxhaw NC 28173.
Adopted this 8th day of September, 2026.
